Important Message from The Boosters Club

WE NEED YOU!

As last year's co-presidents of the Booster Club, we are leading the search for a new president/co-presidents.  We have thoroughly enjoyed serving with the Boosters, but need to hand over the torch to new officers.

The 2009-10 Executive Board remains strong, with last year's returning officers, as follows:

    Carrie Wong            Vice President
    Jeff Ames                Treasurer
    Carrie Hain              Secretary
    Julie Downen           Concessions Chair

We will all help with the transition for a new president/co-presidents, and sincerely hope you will join us.  If you are interested in this position, or with any other aspect of the Boosters Club, please contact Carrie Wong at sidekik@msn.com.

We are looking forward to a year of continued accomplishments in order to better school programs and to improve community involvement.  Those who have been involved in the Boosters organization are a fun group of energetic individuals, who wish the best for our school.  Because of the many financial cut backs within the district, the LHS Boosters Club is an important part of keeping the school programs up and running.  We hope to see you soon at one of our meetings.

* FOR FRESHMEN - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL WEDNESDAY, SEPT 2:

Please report directly to the auditorium when you arrive at school.  You will receive additional instructions from there.

For Freshmen Parents:  After you drop your kids off, you can come in and pay for their fees, with Mrs. Barbara Koch in the Commons (the window office on the first floor).  Parents should not stay in the auditorium with their kids.  Feel free to visit the PTSA table near the entrance.

Thank you!

* Message from Football Coach Pat O'Grady:

We are in need of volunteer parents for the Thursday, September 3rd football game at Renton Memorial Stadium.  Specifically, we need adults to run the chain gang, and first-down marker.

The great part is getting in the game for free, and being able to watch the game from the sidelines.  If you can help, please e-mail me ASAP at pat.o'grady@rentonschools.us, so I can add your name to the list to get in.

Thank you,

Coach O'Grady
